1) Like Midori, you are allowed two starter Pokemon. Your starter Pokemon will both start out at level 5. No exceptions. Also, you cannot choose two starters of the same type. (the only exception is Normal)
2) Your starter Pokemon may be any Pokemon you wish, as long as the fall within the following guidelines
a) Basic Pokemon only. If it's evolved, you can't start with it. (Pokemon like Clefairy and Pikachu that have a baby form are an exception)
b) Pokemon that don't evolve may not be chosen as a starter. Also, If it doesn't evolve in Red/Blue/Yellow, then you can't have it as a starter (that means no Scyther or Onix)
c) Unless I specify otherwise, your starter Pokemon will not have a held item.
d) No Legendary Pokemon...period. For those who need clarification, this includes the following...
-Articuno
-Moltres
-Zapdos
-Ho-oh
-Lugia
-Suicune
-Entei
-Raikou
-Kyogure
-Groudon
-Rayquaza
-Latios
-Latias
-Regiice
-Regirock
-Registeel
-Mew
-Mewtwo
-Celebi
-Jirachi
-Deoxys
-Dialga
-Paklia
-Uxie
-Azelf
-Mesprit
-Heatran
-Regigigas
-Giratina
-Cresselia
-Phione
-Manaphy
-Darkrai
-Shaymin
-Arceus
(geez that's alot of legendaries >.> )
You may encounter one or more of them, and, on rare occasions, depending on the situation, be allowed temporary control of one of them, as though they were your Pokemon, but you will NOT catch any of them.
3) In this world, prehistoric Pokemon that were once extinct have been long since resurrected and breeded, and now live among other Pokemon as they did millions of years ago. As such, all but Aerodactyl can be chosen as a starter.
4) Because this is in Kanto, expect to catch Pokemon from the Kanto Region alot more often than other regions. from the games. This doesn't mean that you won't find any pokemon from Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh, just that you won't find them as often
5) Be creative in battle. This isn't like the games, where they stand in one place, trading blows back and forth. Take advantage of your surroundings. For example, Grass and Bug Pokemon are at home in forests, so reflect that in the way they move, attack, and defend. But at the same time, you can't, unless you have a convincing explanation as to how, constantly avoid hits. Also, while I encourage creativity, be realistic. For example, Pokemon weak against Water will be weakened in rain, so they won't be charging around at full strength in the middle of a downpour. The same applies to a Pokemon who is burned or Poisoned.
6) How your Pokemon levels up and learns moves is up to you. Though I will expect you to be reasonable, you may pretty much decide when and how it levels up and learns certain moves. Once again, be creative, but realistic. Your Pokemon will not go from 5 to 20 after an hour of training. No more than 2 or 3 levels a day please. Also, please stick to the movesets, and no teaching a Pokemon something it can't learn. There will be no Thundershock wielding Bulbasaurs. Naturally, TMs and HMs will be Incorporated into the RP.
7) Like Midori, the maximum number of Pokemon on your team, as well as the number of moves they can learn, are higher. Trainers are allowed to keep eight Pokemon with them. Also, each Pokemon can keep six moves, as opposed to four. This will add a little more variety, hopefully
8) To ensure fairness, I, or another admin, will play the role of a wild Pokemon. Posts as a wild Pokemon will be in bold text. Depending on how you approach it, it may join you willingly, but keep in mind that the same approach may not work more than once. Usually, however, you will have to battle and weaken it. Pokeballs don't work on an unconscious Pokemon, so try to avoid going overboard
9) Don't ask for something out of the ordinary, like a wild Shiny Pokemon, or that Pokemon is holding a certain item. It will be refused. If I want to make a wild Pokemon shiny or holding an item, then I will. All asking or begging me for one will do is make sure you DON'T get one
